Haha, Loved the masturbation conversation and it was nice of you guys recorded this podcast on my and  Shingo Yamashita birthday.

Xcom I’ll with you, looking back on these animes now, makes me feel little bit old and that Tokyo Underground’s ending was really disappointed. Although I did love the two openings songs and the first endings, hell I even still listen to them ever now and then.

One thing that was positive about Tokyo Underground was OP#2 animation which was directed Toshiyuki Tsuru and featuring animation by Hirofumi Suzuki and Toshiyuki Tsuru. ( those two would later on going doing most of NARUTO/Shippuden Openings, Rock Lee vs. Gaara episode(#48) and Shippuden episodes #82, #85 and #166.

Also Steev, Toshiyuki Tsuru directed and animated GTO OP#2(The first OP of GTO was animated by Tetsuya Nishio

Steev, I can be testament to that because I try to re-watch few those series and only to find myself able to get through half of it.

Amuro, I don’t really think the length of the show matters, basically what Steev was saying.

Jrow, I’m surprise that you didn’t see any of them.

Amuro, I’ll probably revisit The Twelve Kingdoms, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi and Happy Lesson.

    • I’m glad I’m not the only one. I actually have more music from “back in the day” then shows that have come recently. I dunno if I’m just old fashioned (god I hope not) or if music now just isn’t as good as it used to be.

    • Jrow

Happy belated birthday Blue! How many of these b-days have you celebrated?

      • animeblue

Thanx and I’m not sure, but my family always try to get me to drink on these days

  • Why I haven’t watched any of those 2002 anime? A bit of reflection with Xcom.

I’m pretty sure I’ve known Xcom since 2001, my sophomore his freshman year. I think only until 2003 did he get me to watch Naruto, which was either the first/second time I really watched fansubbed anime. I never did really watch anything on G4 or Toonami afterwards, so it’s somewhat rare for me to go back in time to watch older shows, unless they’re absolute classics like Evangelion or what note.
