#Synopsis

#Thoughts
Josei + noitaminA is a tried & true formula in the past; Josei-genre shows would comprise most of my Top 5 noitaminA series. While still on the subject of noitaminA, just like Ano Hana, we have a dead person hanging around. Reading the synopsis and also the first chapter of the manga, this seems like it could be an at times heartbreaking story of Ryosuke’s affections for Rokka while getting the other half of the story through Rokka’s dead husband. Dogakobo Studio’s resumé isn’t exactly filled with awesome anime, but it’s such an interesting story and the character designs look really solid that this should be anticipated as one of Summer’s best.

#PersonOfInterest
Yuuichi Nakamura. He’s got plenty of summer anime work (Koi-Choco, Arcana, returning to Lagrange), but his role as the lead here in Natsuyuki can be his best of the season given the character’s personality traits.

It might have been a while since season 1, but this is the one anime that I’ve been waiting on for a sequel. If you haven’t seen season 1, you need to go watch it now! It is a lot of fun with great characters. On the outside it is an anime about making beer and other alcoholic beverages, but there is a much deeper story and interesting characters to back it up.

It is in the noitaminA time slot for a reason. Not just because season 1 was a noitaminA show, but because it is that awesome of an anime. I am really excited about this show because season 1’s biggest problem was the ending or lack thereof. Now that we have a sequel, new hope for even more Moyashimon exists.

#PersonOfInterest
There isn’t one person to watch, it is the whole cast. Moyashimon is littered with an all-star cast. I’m talking Daisuke Sakaguchi, Akemi Kanada, Katsuyuki Konishi, Mamiko Noto, and much more. You just couldn’t ask for a better list of voice actors.

#Thoughts
From the same studio that brought you Haganai, more club anime where a bunch of girls and one guy don’t really do much! Now let’s quickly brush Haganai off to the side here because this anime looks to play more to the romance & drama genres. The election sets up the romance between Satsuki and Yuuki, and the rest of the characters look to develop more than the previously mentioned Haganai. The tropes of tsunderes, childhood friend, etc. will surely come into play, but at first glance from the trailer, the girls featured are quite a beautiful group and their school uniforms are cute and varied to accentuate their best physical features. There isn’t a Maria/Index-like loli running around to muck things up which is nice.

#PersonOfInterest
Kitahata Tooru. Making his directorial debut with Koi-Choco! He’s previously done assitant directorial work for Ookami Kakushi and also Haganai from AIC Build.

#Synopsis
In normal RPGs, a hero defeats the Satan king and the story ends. But what does the hero do after that? Ohtorizawa Akatsuki defeats the Satan king in the fantasy world of Alleyzard and returns to the real world. He is sheltered by the international organization BABEL, which protects and controls people transferred from the outer worlds. BABEL is astonished to know Akatsuki has really defeated Satan and brings Satan’s daughter Miu from Alleyzard. In the academy of BABEL, Akatsuki confronts other “returners”, who have psychic powers.

#Thoughts
This anime actually looks somewhat interesting. The premise could get old though. Having already defeated Satan, that makes me wonder if there will truly be anyone strong enough to actually challenge him. If anyone can then it feels like Satan wasn’t strong enough, which is strange. Either way, I don’t have many expectations for this anime. The action might be solid, but the fact that it is a harem already means they are probably going to push the ecchi moments and make us think that he could end up with any girl, but in reality we all know nothing will ever get finalized and if it did, it would be the main girl.

Fun Fact: This too is based off of a fantasy light novel series.

#PersonOfInterest
The herorine in this series is voiced by the voice actress everyone loves to hate, Hikasa Youko. She is infamous for doing Mio from that Tea anime, but most recently she was Rias from Highschool DxD. Kind of funny that she plays Satan’s sister in DxD and now she is playing his daughter.

#Synopsis
Kaga Ryousuke, a helplessly romantic teenager, was walking in the rain when he sees a beautiful girl with red eyes drenched in the rain. Everyone was avoiding her, but Ryousuke was taught to treasure women so he offered his help by letting her dry off at his home. Ryousuke can’t imagine that this mysterious girl would stab him in the chest and leave him to die… Or did she? Who is this pretty girl and what does she want with him?

#Thoughts
This Feel series does seem a lot like High School DxD at first glance. Redhead heroine (Lisara Restall), a pervish boy nicknamed Pervsuke and an AT-X televised series that’s expected to be filled with plenty of nudity. There are differences between the series that need to be addressed. Lisara is more of a tsundere-type and could never fill out a bra the way Rias Gremory can which actually is a point of importance to her, we’re looking at Shinigami instead of Devils, and comedy seems a touch more of a focal point than in DxD. Ryousuke has to give up his sex drive in order to keep Lisara in the human world, and it was pretty funny to read in the manga how he dealt with the lack of that sex drive. I don’t think he’ll play a fighting role the way DxD’s Issei did. I’m fully expecting this to be Summer’s top-tier ecchi show and hoping that it’ll be an enjoyable and fun story to follow.

#PersonOfInterest
Aya Endo. Though we don’t hear her voice in a trailer, the voice of Macross F’s Sheryl Nome seems like good casting on paper as Lisara is indeed a tsundere but can show her dere side occasionally.

#Thoughts
If this has one thing going for it, it’s that it’s based on a manga by the same guy that did Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei. It will live and die based on whether it can make you laugh or not. If you’re familiar with Japanese comedy, however, it can be exceedingly hit or miss with non-Japanese viewers.

#PersonOfInterest
Tsutomu Mizushima – The director for this show, he’s directed some notable series such as Another and Blood-C, but more pertinent to this show is his work as director on comedy series like Squid Girl, Dokuro-chan, and Azazel-san. Hopefully those comedy chops will come to play here.
