#Synopsis
Of all the residents of Osaka who lead interesting lives just by living normally, by far the most interesting of them all is the “Osaka Momma.” A little sister with this sort of “Osaka Momma” personality has just moved to Tokyo to live with her brother after living apart for ten years!

This is another one of those short 5 minute shows. The first episode, if not more, is out and you can find it on Crunchyroll… Not really much more I can say about it. I picked it because I didn’t want another show and Amuro refused to bow into his own stereotype. Honestly, I didn’t find the first episode funny, but then again I don’t find 5 minute anime all that good to begin with. Just as I was starting to get into the episode it already ended.

#Thoughts
Despite what the unfortunate title might lead you to believe, this is about cute girls editing cute manga. The trailer’s ultra “cute” vibes has me hesitant, but at this point, I’m going to just have to turn my brain off, and see if I can gleam any kind of enjoyment out of this one.

#Synopsis
The title tells the story of the childhood friends Aoi, a girl who prefers staying inside and who has acrophobia, and Hinata, a girl who loves mountains. The two decide to climb a mountain in order to once again see the morning sun from its peak as they did when they were young.

#Thoughts
While the name translates to Encouragement of Climb, I believe Moe Mountain Climbing to be a better title. This is another 5-minute situation made mostly to promote the manga. Of the short shows this season, it has the most to look at and might be worth a few minutes for fans of moe.

The story follows girls in a manga club —Ai, Mai, Mii, and Ponoka-sempai—who might be fighting evil invaders threatening Earth, facing off against rivals in tournaments, and dealing with other absurd situations when they are not drawing manga.

The description and main image of the show tell me this is going to be ridiculous. Watching the trailer confirms that notion. And that is a good thing. Joshiraku from the 2012 Summer Season was a show that took me by surprise and with Ai Mai Mi being in a similar vein, then this might just be the surprise of the 2013 Winter season. Here’s to hoping it’s funny.

#Synopsis
The story revolves around Hiroshi Inaba, a private detective, and part-wolf-part-human being who was created artificially. Hiroshi runs his own detective agency and solves cases with the help of his cross-dressing secretary Yuuta, and Kei, a “relatively normal” teenager. The plot centres on Hiroshi and the gang trying to arrest his arch-nemesis Don Valentino, a mastermind goat with a taste for money.

I really don’t know what to make of this anime. On first impression I was completely uninterested, but after I watched the trailer I thought there might be hope for it as a decent comedy. There still just isn’t enough for me to be excited or feel that there is any really potential here. I will give it a chance though, which is more than what I was willing to do when I started writing this preview.

#Thoughts
I have seen a LOT of anime and when I saw Da Capo III as an upcoming series, even though I have seen both Da Capo and Da Capo II, for the life of me I could not remember much about them. The good news is, you don’t have to. Every Da Capo game takes place years after the first with brand new characters, even if they do look alike, and a new story, but all with the same premise. Honestly, I do remember liking what I watched, but that was years ago and my tolerance for this kind of anime has run dry. If you are new to the Da Capo franchise and love harem romances, then this might be a good series for you. I’ll still give it a chance, maybe some nostalgia will kick in and I’ll enjoy it more than I thought I would.

#Synopsis
The story is set in a world embroiled by war between Humans and Demons. The Humans’ greatest hero invades the Demon Queen’s castle determined to vanquish her. However, instead of fighting back, the Queen proposes an alliance with the Hero. She explains how a sudden end to the war can bring further chaos to the world as the Humans once united to stand against their common enemies would eventually begin fighting among themselves, with similar issues already occurring at the Demon Realm. Convinced by her words, the Hero joins forces with the Queen and together they execute a plan to bring prosperity and a lasting peace to both Humans and Demons alike.

I’m confused on whether to be anticipating this series or coming in with the “good luck impressing me” attitude. MMY was first established as a play written on 2channel and later adapted into a light novel series… hmm, go on Mr. Fact Sheet. That original content is supposedly pretty good and focuses quite a bit on economics… color me intrigued. Director Takeo Takahashi’s previous works include Spice & Wolf, Yosuga no Sora & other animes where you’re sure to find naked women… alright, still tuned in. It’s being produced by ARMS, recently having done Hagure Yuusha and Queen’s Blade… oh brother… things were going so well. There is a certain amount of potential the series has to be one of the more discussed series of Winter, though I think there’s a boom-or-bust scenario exists dependent upon how well it’s adapted.

I found the show of the season that I least want to watch now. The description and entire premise of the show just seems so stupid. I also hated the last show with a “save the school by singing” plot that I watched, and this just seems like your typical otaku pandering tripe. No thanks you.
