At first glance this looks like a generic fantasy anime. It comes from a game and the description doesn’t do much to excite us. Then you look at some of the veteran staffers and that the main characters are voiced by Jun Fukuyama and Hiroshi Kamiya, two veteran voice actors. Brain’s Base is also the studio behind the series and their anime tends to be of the highest quality. However, once you watch the trailer you realize that you were being generious with your first glance. This anime truely looks pretty bad. Calling it a generic fantasy is too nice. Thet character designs, the loli princess, and the piss poor action in the trailer completely turns me off. I will still give it a shot, Brain’s Base is still a great studio, so maybe they will turn shit into diamonds… I am not holding my breath though.

However, she is summoned before the Student Council President who forcibly enrolls her in Sensha-do, with the ultimate goal of being part of the school’s team in the National Sensha-do Tournament. To make matters worse, every single member of the team is eccentric.

Cute girls doing cute things…in TANKS! It’s a slim premise, but hey, I watched and enjoyed Upotte so this seems right up my alley.

The school romantic comedy revolves around a second-year high school student named Sorata Kanda who lives in Sakurasou, the dormitory for problem children at Sorata’s school. One day, Mashiro Shiina —a cute girl who happens to be also a cosmopolitan, brilliant artist— moves into Sakurasou. Sorata thinks to himself that he should protect Mashiro from the weirdos at Sakurasou, but Mashiro has a surprising secret: she has no idea how to take care of herself. She gets lost if she goes out, and her room is a complete mess. Sorata’s dorm mates designate him as the “master” of Mashiro, and thus, an ordinary boy and a brilliant girl must live like “a master and his pet.”

J.C. Staff, stuff like this is what you go to them for. The triple slamma jamma “school romantic comedy” genre listing based off one of the Dengeki Bunko light novels isn’t exactly getting me excited on paper, but if there’s elements of humor & charming that are within this series, I could see enjoying it as a lite watch.

#Synopsis
A ruthless arms dealer on a quixotic quest for world peace. A child soldier born into chaotic conflict. Their lives will intertwine as they journey together through the seedy underbelly of the world’s arms market.

#Thoughts
Once Jormungand got in a flow during season 1, it became one of the more enjoyable series of the Spring ’12 season that so far has been faithfully adapted by White Fox. It’s a fun action romp with a great ensemble and the inclusion of Koko’s brother Kasper and Scarecrow upped the ante for Koko and her bodyguards. With the manga being completed prior to the anime’s debut, expect season 2 to fill out the rest of the story.

#Synopsis
The battle between Kurokami Medaka and Myouri Unzen, leader of the Public Morals Committee, ends with Medaka’s victory. However, this battle merely ignites the powder keg resulting from the mysterious Flask Plan. Hakama Shiranui, Hakoniwa Academy’s Chairman, and program director of the Flask Plan, continues his attempts to manipulate Medaka into furthering his goals. Central to his designs are the thirteen students of Class 13.

#Thoughts
This season could be a positive thing for Medaka Box as it continues the series and gets to a part of the manga where things actually got interesting. The first several chapters/season followed the everyday life of Medaka and her box. Now come season 2, where more info about a Flask Plan will create much needed intrigue to the series and help get Medaka out of her “perfect” character trait that drags her down with most viewers of the first season. Gainax’s work was pretty disappointing in S1, so we can only hope they bother to up it and S2.

The reckless, useless club head, Akiho Senomiya, aims to complete a giant robot, struggling hard to avoid losing the club’s status. Then, one day, Kaito discovers the A.R. annotation that becomes the Kimishima Report. Written in that report is the indictment of someone named Kou Kimishima’s conspiracy involving the world.

The Divergence Ratio note and that semicolon are familiar, right? The visual novel this anime’s adapted from comes by way of 5pb, those that developed the Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate VNs. It’s not the best idea to hype based off of 5pb’s previous efforts since each is within their own little slice of the universe and S;G is considered much superior to C;H, but Production I.G. doing a robot-related show should at the very least net some fine animation and CGI work.

Trailer:

#Synopsis
The series takes place in the near future, when it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person’s state of mind and personality. This information is recorded and processed, and the term “Psycho-Pass” refers to a standard used to measure an individual’s being. The story centers around the “enforcement officer” Shinya Kougami, who is tasked with managing crime in such a world.

#Thoughts
A hard-boiled, sci-fi police action series with a script by Urabochi Gen (Fate/Zero, Madoka Magica). There’s quite a similarity to the Christian Bale movie Equilibrium, which apparently Gen was a huge fan of. The way the plot description is written, I’m wondering if this will have a similar episode style to Ghost in the Shell: SAC where there are single eps with an overarching plot. This project had been teased by Gen a while back, so this reveals his next project as Production I.G. gets another opportunity at doing a multi-cour noitaminA show after last Fall’s sci-fi action series Guilty Crown.

#Thoughts
I really liked the first series quite a bit, particularly because of main character Ken and his harem delusions. The show had some good humor and I’m looking forward to seeing more. What is slightly disappointing is that this is going to be a web anime, so it might be a while before non-eyebleedingly bad quality episodes release.
